Birth of a Font

We began by cutting out the letterforms a,b,c in uppercase and lowercase. Each of the letterforms had 4 categories, Block, Script, Roman and Gothic. We then dissected the letterforms anatomically. E.g. Capital A into stems and a crossbar. 
Then we mixed the different categories together to create a new letterform. 

Below are my favourite experiments, I have highlighted the five I wanted to recreate into a font consisting of ABCXYZ,abcxyz.
